What is non-medical home care?
Non-medical home care means help with everyday living rather than clinical treatment. Caregivers assist with bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. They do not administer injections, change wound dressings, or perform nursing tasks, because those require a licensed nurse.
How much does Bay Area home care cost?
Cost depends on how many hours you need and what kind of help is involved. Hourly care costs less per week than overnight or 24-hour coverage, and rates across the Bay Area generally sit near the regional average for non-medical care. We give you a written quote after the free in-home visit, so you see the real number before committing to anything.
Does Medicare pay for home care?
Medicare generally does not cover non-medical home care, because it funds skilled medical services instead. However, long-term care insurance, VA Aid and Attendance benefits, and private pay all commonly apply. We are glad to walk you through the options during your consultation.
How quickly can care start?

Can I choose or change my caregiver?
Yes. We introduce the caregiver before care starts, and we check in after the first week. If the personality fit is not right, tell us and we will find someone better suited. No awkwardness, and no charge for the change.
